The Forward Gamlingay! Youth design project aims to make an ambitious contribution to the community life of the
village. The youth team had to work hard not to lose sight of high level design ambitions that were set at the start of the project.

Young people in Gamlingay, Cambridgeshire had nowhere to meet, socialise and access services. That became the incentive for a group of local people to set up Forward Gamlingay! - an umbrella group formed from members of the community, in partnership with the local parish and civic Architects. Its chief aim was to improve facilities for teenagers living in the area. With the status of a registered charity, Forward Gamlingay! has commissioned civic to develop a joined-up masterplan of all its projects, village-wide.   (more ...)
