Our Approach to Architecture

In May 2012 we completed our first significant public building, the Eco Hub Community Centre in Gamlingay, South Cambridgeshire which began life as an idea for a committed group of parishioners to extend and refurbish their 1970’s Community Centre.

In December 2012 we won the Architect of the Year Awards for the Eco Hub in the Environmental Excellence category.

With Dan’s careful guidance and a determined client group, the project was one of only a handful to acquire capital funding under the Government’s Community Builders Scheme in 2010. The building now benefits from a complete refurbishment and a series of extensions that have unlocked the use of the centre and provided a wholly autonomous building that is an exemplar in its use of green technology use and ecologically driven material specifications.

We care most about creating buildings that are beautifully detailed and that work hard for their clients – making the everyday a pleasure and lifting what can be an everyday experience of architecture into something ‘extra-ordinary’.
